ODBD~ Masculine Birthday Card ~

The most difficult cards for me are masculine.  I have this habit of sticking flowers and ribbon on EVERYTHING!  Today's card is definite not frou frou...  copper embossing powder, jute and a distressed faux leather background show off some of Our Daily Bread Designs' January collection.

And here's the sets I used...

I just love the copper embossing powder on black card stock! Well gotta go! Until next time...

Blessings...

ODBD ~ God is Love

Hope you are staying warm and toasty!  Kentucky is a bit cold right now.  I plan on spending the next few days indoors.  Apparently the cold weather makes me work with warm colors.  This time it was red...  And with Valentine's Day coming up, it's the perfect time to use it.

Today's card features Our Daily Bread Designs' new set, Fellowship Sentiments. This set is perfect for all of your greeting card needs.

I opted to use the striped paper sideways. A couple of die cut hearts and pink ribbon add to the love theme! And under the pink ribbon... another recent release by Our Daily Bread... a special die for ODBD by Spellbinder Spellbinders for ODBD Antique Labels & Borders...

Thanks for looking!

Until next time,

Blessings...

Exploring Cricut ~ Hugs & Kisses

With Valentine's Day just a few weeks away, it's time to make a Valentine.  And for today's Exploring Cricut post, we'll do just that!  This project features one of my lonely cartridges, Sweethearts.  I say lonely because it just doesn't get a great deal of attention from me.  But after this card that will change!

And the cuts you will need...

Bow - pg. 33 - 5.25 inches - black cardstock
Phrase Shadow - pg. 36 - 2.25 inches - black card stock
Phrase - pg. 36 - 2.25 inches - white card stock
Hearts - pg. 40 - 5.25 inches (2 cuts) - red card stock
Heart Shadow - pg. 40 - 5.25 inches (1 cut) - white card stock

1. Apply ScorTape to edge of white heart. Gather white seaming
    binding around the edge.
2. Apply dimentional foam to white heart base and adhere 1 red
    heart.
3. Assemble phrase and arrow. Adhere to front panel.
4. Use ScorPal to score line slightly below top of second red heart.
Fold, add ScorTape and adhere to back of white panel to create
    your card.

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...

ODBD ~ Our Smallest Wishes

Welcome!  Thanks for stopping by!  Wanted to pop in today and share a card created with a few sets from Our Daily Bread Designs' January release.  I tried to create a chalkboard look...

I used a flat black card stock base and stamped my images/sentiments on with Versamark.  I then embossed them with white powder.  I sponged just a bit of white ink on to add that chalky look.  I created the floral spray with a yellow blossom from my stash and a few handmade bits too.  Do you just love these stamps?

ODBD ~ Thinking of You !

No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. There were a few days when I felt like I might. LOL

Christmas Eve was one of those days. I felt unusually drained. Christmas Day was much the same. But since John and I were hosting, I thought I was just worn out from all the family fun and frolic. Thursday and Friday were spent battling a raging fever and congestion. By Monday I forced myself to visit the doctor. Nausea, fever, the whole nine yards this past week... so much for starting out the new year...  :-P

No blogging here for the past few weeks my friends... My Christmas tree was stripped of its ornamentation (in phases) but it has not made it out of the house... I told John that I might just tie some Easter eggs on it and call it done... :-) Might as well laugh about it, right?   This too shall pass...

So here's today's card...

Today's card features a couple of new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs'

Plus a special Spellbinders die for Our Daily Bread Designs' here...

Hope to be back up and crafting full-time soon...

Blessings...

Lori
