WAW160 ~ James 1:17 ~ Every Good Gift

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsor's generosity so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week we are visiting the book of James...  a powerful reminder of where our blessings come from...

This week, I decided to use die cuts to create a turkey image.  I printed our scripture on Kraft paper and used a circle die to cut it and a smaller circle for the head.  I split a leaf paper punch (red CS) to create the gobbler.  The beak is also a die cut.  I chose a variety of Thanksgiving/Fall themed papers and used an oval die to create feathers.  A few bits of dimensional foam, help him jump off the page!

Thanks for taking a few moments to stop by!  And have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Now on to my projects for the month...  The first features the new Nutcracker  image colored with copics and layered up!

I stamped the image on Copic compatible paper and colored the image similar to some real nutcrackers on found on the internet.  I opted for a Kraft card base (5.5 x 4.25) and matted my DP with black card stock.  I added a variety of distressed papers, including a book print, music notes and traditional Christmas print.  I added a few die cuts accents from our sister company, Our Daily Bread Designs.

Here's the single image, Nutcracker...

the sentiment from an earlier release,

and ODBD products...

And now on to the super fun Snow Angel Murphy,
or as I loving call him "Saint Murphy..."

Here's the image you see...

and the sentiment from
Old Fashioned Santa

I couldn't resist coloring Mr. Murphy like one of my beloved Saint Bernards!  I started with black and white card stock for my base and matting.  I then added a burlap and snowflake print DP.  The image (colored with Copics) takes center stage with just a bit of glitter glue around him for added effect.  This one certainly brings me love and joy!

Now don't forget to stop by and comment at each designer's blog along the way!  And if you get turned around visit the NCC Blog to get back on track!

WAW159 ~ Psalm 100:4 ~ Thanksgiving

It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsor's generosity so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week we are visiting the book of Psalms and receiving words of Thanksgiving...

This is an amazing scripture!  Thanksgiving should be every day and not just one day each year.  This challenges my heart on so many levels.  When I pray, do I have the right attitude...  gratitude and thankfulness?  Do my actions show my gratitude and bless others?  Am I truly thankful for each and every blessing?  Do I recognize everything is a blessing from above and not because of something I have done?  AND I don't deserve any of those things?  WOW!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the middle of the week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings...

~ Let Us Adore Him ~

Good morning!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Today, I am using several products from Our Daily Bread Designs' November Release including a new paper collection, dies and stamps!  I even pulled out some old photo corners from my scrapbooking days... (And yes, I had to knock the dust off of them...)   ;-)

Here's a close up of the poinsettia...  I used a gold ink to emboss the leaves after die cutting...

I started with a blue card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a pink mat.  I used the largest rectangular die from the Flourished Star Pattern Die and cut my DP base with the new Christmas Paper Collection 2014.  I picked a coordinating pattern from the DP set and nested the largest patterned die from Flourished Star Pattern Die and the Splendorous Stars Die to create the "window" for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment (Come Let Us Adore Him ) on the DP before adding the top layer with dimensional foam.  I positioned gold photo corners on each corner of the base layer and added a pink poinsettia created with ODBD's Peaceful Poinsettias Die and gold ink (embossing each leaf before removing from the die).  A few vines from the Fancy Foliage Die finish it off nicely!  I just love non-traditional Christmas colors, don't you?

Here's the products you see...

Don't forget to stop back by this week to check out all of the new projects I have...  It's almost time for a new release at North Coast Creations too!  I can't wait to show ya!

Blessings...

A Look Back at Our Daily Bread Designs' November Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs'  November Release,  Here is the card I created using Come Let Us Adore Him, His Birth and the new Flourished Star Pattern Die.

I stamped the stars from His Birth  on Kraft paper using a white pigment ink.  I then used a thinned white craft paint and old tooth brush to create "speckles" on the background.  I stamped the star image (Come Let Us Adore Him) with black ink before adding a Kraft die cut layer with jet bead embellies.

Here are the new items you see today...

and a few older ones I
used to create the poinsettia and greens...

~ Reach For the Stars ~

Good morning and thank you for stopping by!  Today I have a fun project incorporating plaid and some fun new dies/stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.

This time I started with a 5.25 x 5.25 black card stock base, adding a mat of red, green and a dash of plaid.

I stamped the sentiment on white card stock with black ink.

And added a star accent using
layers from the following dies...

Plaid layer...

White Card Stock Layer

and the final gold layer

Fun and so easy to put together!  Next time you put a card together, try using a large white space!  I love how it opens this card up and really accents the plaid.

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, blessings...

~ Good Friends ~

Happy Friday!  Today, I have a simple card using a
few items from Our Daily Bread Designs.
The colors are a trendy gray, black and white palette.

I started with a gray 5.5 x 4.25 card base and added a white CS mat.  I selected some beautiful star themed silver/gray and white paper from the Winter Paper Collection and used the largest rectangular die base (Flourished Star Pattern Die) to cut my decorative panel.

CSBD75 - FLOURISHED STAR PATTERN DIE

I stamped the sentiment from
Reach for the Stars on white paper
and custom cut a banner and black mat.

G603 - REACH FOR THE STARS

I nestled a gray die cut on top (under the sentiment panel)
using an earlier release Quatrefoil Pattern Die.

CSBD30 - QUATREFOIL PATTERN DIE

The seam binding bow is a custom dyed bow.  I used a black distress ink and some sparkling Angel Glimmer Mist to make my own...  I love the gray distressed look!  Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,

Blessings...

Here's my first project for the day...

and a close up of the details on this one...

Every great project starts with fun paper and this one is no exception.  The beautiful gold and white dotted paper may be found in the new Winter Paper Collection 2014.

The base gold filigree layer can be found in the Flourished Pattern Star Pattern Die.

The top gold star may be found in this coordinating

I used white embossing powder to add a simple star from the new Come Let Us Adore Him stamp set.

I stamped the sentiments found in the new set, His Birth on left over DP and added them to my project.  A few random pearls adorn it as well.  I just LOVE the elegant feel of this one!

For my second project, I decided to use both silver and gold (embossing)...

I used both His Birth (shown above) and Shine On (shown below) on this card.  I stamped the stars with embossing ink and used  silver and gold embossing powder to highlight them.  I chose a custom dyed seam binding bow and embossed the sentiment before die cutting with ODBD's previous release, Pennants Die.
