ODBD ~ Give Thanks ~

Good morning and welcome to the work week! I'm already checking off my to-do list...  meetings...reports...projects due... The list never seems to get shorter!  And even though my list seems to be continually multiplying it is oh so satisfying to mark a few of those items off.
Talking about lists...  there is one list that I am so very happy to be on...  the Lamb's Book of Life list...  aren't you???

Today's card featuring a few items from Our Daily Bread Designs' August release...
Boho Blessings, the coordinating Fancy Fritillary Die, Boho Background Die, Oval Dies and Stitched Ovals Die...

and did I mention an old favorite... Fancy Foliage Die

I started with a white card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches and added a slightly smaller black CS mat.  I used the Boho Background Die to emboss my top panel in white.  I stamped the sentiment in black (Boho Blessing)
and used Ovals Dies and Stitched Ovals Die  to
frame it.  A bit of greenery from the Fancy Foliage Die  adorns the corner.
I stamped my image on Copic compatible paper in a soft gray ink and used my Copics to color it.  Afterwards I used a stamp positioner to ink over the outline with a rich black ink.  I used the coordinating Fancy Fritillary Die to cut it out.

So here are the new items you see...

and some older items...

How fun!  Now don't forget Tuesday will mark the first day of September and that means a whole new release from Our Daily Bread Designs!  If you loved this month's as much as I did...  I know you will enjoy this one as well!  PLUS...  there will be more special surprises this month!  I can't wait to share!

Hugs and blessings...

ODBD ~ Thanks Pennant ~

Good morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!  The weather looks to be perfect...  that wonderful blend of cooler evenings giving way to warm late summer days...   I hope to spend some time outdoors after church this morning!

Today's card features a few items from Our Daily Bread Designs' August release including the special mid month Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet  and coordinating Swag Pennant Die

I started with a rich purple card stock base adding a raspberry mat.  I pulled a fun DP from this month's Beautiful Boho Paper Collection and an overlay created with the new Boho Background Die.  I stamped the image with a rich purple ink on ecru card stock (Boho Love) and used the coordinating Ornate Hearts Die to cut and emboss.  I stamped the thanks sentiment (Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet) after positioning the stamps with the coordinating die (Pennant Swag Die.)
I then used the die to cut...  so easy!  I cut a large banner to nestle behind the heart die.

So here are some of the items you see...

Thanks for stopping by!

ODBD ~ We Live By Faith ~

Good morning and welcome to my little corner of the world!  Today, I have a card using a few of the items from this month's release at Our Daily Bread Designs.  In just a few short days we will welcome another month and I want to share a few more cards featuring this release.

This time, I used the Boho Faith
set along with a few favorite dies...

I started with a dark green card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches with a slightly smaller white mat.  I pulled a stripe and dot pattern from my DP stash cutting both at an angle.  I affixed the stripe with dimensional foam and added a white die cut strip using ODBD's Beautiful Borders Die set with some white CS.  I stamped my image on white card stock with a fun mixed ink pad (giving it an ombre appearance) and used the coordinating die, Vintage Labels  to cut and emboss the edges.  I stamped the sentiment (also from the Boho Faith set) on white card stock and used ODBD's Pennants Die  to cut it out.  A flower spray highlighted with greenery from the Fancy Foliage Die set adorns the bottom.  What do you think of the color combo?  ;-)

Here are some of the items  you see...

and some of the other products...

Ink - Kaleidacolor - Caribbean Sea
Paper - Bazzill, Georgia Pacifc, We R Memory Keepers Farmers' Market
Flowers - Recollections, The Paper Studio

Thanks as always for stopping by!  Be sure to check back the next couple of days!  I have a few more projects to share from this release and TUESDAY marks a new release day!  It promises to be a busy week!

Blessings...

It's Time For a New Release at North Coast Creations

Welcome to another fun release at North Coast Creations!  I promise this month will be a real hoot!  ;-)  If you love using owls and/or amazing dies on your projects, you are at the right place!  This month I have a couple of cute projects featuring some of the new items at NCC.  And at the end of today's post, watch for details on how you can hop along and possibly win!  I know you would love to add a few of these fun tools to your stamping collection!

First, I will start with a fun card using NCC's Who Loves You stamp set, coordinating Owl Family Die along with the new Flourished Vine Dies.

I started with a deep brown card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) with a Kraft mat.  I cut a slightly smaller DP layer using our sister company, Our Daily Bread Designs' Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection.  ODBD  also provided a couple of new dies for the sentiment panel - Ovals Dies and Stitched Ovals Die.  I stamped the sentiment on my sentiment panel so I could place the die cut owls suspended from my "faux" swing.  A few "vines" peek out from the sentiment panel.  So here are the new products you see in the project shown above...

I took these same items plus another new NCC die and created this card...

This time, I started with a blue card stock base and added a DP from ODBD's Blooming Garden Paper Collection.  I created the white lattice layer and focal die using ODBD's Boho Background Die
and Vintage Flourish Pattern Die.  I stamped the branch and owl family, colored each and cut them out using the new Owl Family Die.  I used the Flourished Vine Dies with Kraft card stock for the added foliage and a bit of left over blue card stock to create my sentiment, Thinking of You die.  Here is a photo of this new die...

So fun!  So now you too can have the opportunity to take these items home.  Just for commenting on the Design Team Blog Posts, you have a chance to win a $10 NCC Gift Certificate, good towards the purchase of NCC Stamps. New Pennant Stamps at Our Daily Bread Designs!

Welcome!  Can you believe it is Monday already?  Normally, Monday's are not the day I would define as exciting...  HOWEVER, this one most certainly is!  Because...  DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

has a special mid month release!!!!

Yep... you heard that right!  A very special new Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet  stamp set is available!  And the best part???  It coordinates with ODBD's Pennant Swag Die!

Now that's the kind of news to make my Monday morning!

Here's my project using the new stamp set along with the coordinating die...

and the Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet set...
(our special mid month release...)

I started with a white card stock base (5.5 x 4.25 inches) and added a bright yellow mat.  I used ODBD's Sunburst Background Die to create a background, inking all exposed areas with Memento Cantaloupe and Dandelion inks.  I found a scrap piece of Kraft paper and used ODBD's Fence Die to cut my border.  A bit of green CS along with ODBD's Grass Border Die peek out from behind the fence.  I positioned my stamps using the die and after stamping die cut the banner.  A couple of Kraft birds (Birdcage and Banner Die) seem to be sneaking off with my banner.  :-)
I tucked a few die cut clouds  from the Cloud and Raindrops Die
over my sun.

I just love the versatility of this stamp set!  I must tell you positioning these stamps is SUPER easy!

***Just check out this VIDEO by Lisa Somerville
showing you just how easy they are to work with!***

And don't forget to investigate what my design team sisters have cooked up too!  But before I send you on, take a look at some of the other ODBD items you see today...

A Look Back at ODBD's August Release

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs' August Release.  Here is the card I created using Boho Blessings, Beautiful Boho Paper Collection and the new die, Stitched Ovals.  For more inspiration using the August Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

I started with a black card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches adding a slightly smaller rich orange mat.  I chose a couple of designs from the new Beautiful Boho Paper Collection and layered them up.  I stamped the image (Boho Blessings) on Copic compatible paper with a soft grey die fast ink and then colored the image with Copics.  I stamped the image again with a deep Versafine black ink using a positioning tool to stamp exactly over the original gray.  I then used the coordinating Fancy Fritillary Die to cut it out.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink on white paper carefully matting it.  I used a rich raspberry CS along with the new Stitched Ovals Die for a slightly "hidden" element behing the sentiment panel.  I also pulled out an old favorite...  Pennants Die, to add a sweet banner under the butterfly.  So here are some of the items  you see today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to visit my design team sisters to see what that have for you as well!

Blessings...

NCC ~ You're Cool!

Good morning and welcome to day 4 of my travel adventure!  And that means I am still having laptop issues!  And no, I didn't throw it out the window...  yet...  grrr.....
OH... #thestruggle....

So here is a fun frilly card using North Coast Creations' fun The Ice Cream Shoppe set...  I just love the bubble gum pink and cocoa on this creation!  I stamped the frothy drink on Copic compatible paper and colored it in.  I opted to fussy cut the final product before layering in on the lined DP panel.  I stamped the sentiment on coordinating paper and used Our Daily Bread Designs' Sparkling Stars Die to cut it out.  I even added a fun tea stained seaming binding bow!  What do you think?

I started with a dark cocoa card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches adding a bit of DP (cut at an angle...)  I really like the polka dot print peeking out on the bottom!

Due to travel issues I am unable to post photos for the items listed for North Coast Creations or Our Daily Bread Designs.  Please click on the links and be sure to check out all of the fun products!  I hope to be home soon and back to "regular" blogging...

BTW...  if you have a travel horror story please feel free to share in the comments section!  I need all the encouragement I can get this week!

WAW197 ~ Romans 15:13 ~ In Hope ~

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsors so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who generously provided our prizes this week!

Our scripture this week may be found in the New Testament, specifically the Book of Romans...

This week, I started with a warm yellow card stock base and added a deep brown for matting.  I found the fun DP and couldn't resist the sunflower theme!  I printed this week's scripture on white card stock and used Our Daily Bread Designs Stitched Ovals Die to frame it.  A fun sunflower die cut adorns the corner.  I just love using sunny themes on cards!  Nothing reminds me more of the hope and comfort of the Heavenly Father than a smiling sunflower!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings....

ODBD ~ God Loves You! ~

It's been a trying few days at the Ulrich household.  I have been traveling for work and that means trying to do blog posts on the go and/or on the run.  Normally, that isn't an issue.  This time has been quite challenging.  My laptop did NOT cooperate.  The hotel WiFi did not cooperate.  Then a new security measure I implemented for posts kicked in...  and on and on and on...  And then I began to wonder...  IS it really fun anymore???  And that my friends is when I started to pray.  I know that is COMPLETELY backwards!  Have you even been guilty of letting life get in the way of what God designed you to do?  Have you even been guilty of being so busy that you truly aren't living?  So today, I have a card to post reminding you and me that God truly loves us!  That just makes it all better....  And aren't you glad?  I am!

So here it is using a few older items from Our Daily Bread Designs including the Canning Jars stamp set, coordinating Canning Jars Die, Fancy Foliage Die, Rustic Beauty Paper Collection, Aster and Leaves Die and Pennants Die.  And did I mention the new set, Boho Love, from which this lovely sentiment came from....???

I started with a rich cocoa card stock base measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches and added a black mat.  I picked a rustic DP from the Rustic Beauty Paper Collecton and when to work.  I stamped the canning jar image on vellum (with Stazon) and used the coordinating die.  I added a die cut vine underneath and a few blossoms for depth.  I stamped the sentiment on ecru card stock and used the pennant die to cut it out.  So fun!

Please forgive as I do not have the photos of individual items but check out the links above to find the products listed.  I promise things will settle down in the coming days...  or I just may throw my laptop out the window...  lol...

The devil made me do it...  literally!!!

Blessings....

ODBD ~ Welcome Center Step Card ~

Happy Saturday and a very good morning!  It's hard to believe that August is really here.  And last Saturday, Our Daily Bread Designs'  shared a fun new release.  However, I took a few moments to look back at some of the fun items from July's release.  Today's card used a few items from the July release including, Home Sweet Home, Welcoming Window Die, Window Shutter and Awnings Die  and Flower Box Fillers Die.

And if you look closely you will see a few old favorites too...

This week I created a center step card.  I created my own center step card base for this project but I will let you in on a little secret...  ;-)
YOU can buy center step cards bases already made HERE at ODBD!

I started with a rich chocolate card stock base and added weathered siding DP from ODBD's Blushing Rose Paper Collection to the center and each side.  I chose a soft moss green and white polka dotted coordinating DP for the bottom and to create my die cut awning.  My team member, America, shared this clever and fun use this month for the new Window Shutter and Awnings Die  and I had to try it.  She took the "shutter" die and used it to create "shades..."  SHE IS TOO CLEVER!  SQUEAL!!!!!!  A rich brown window box and blossoms are nestled in behind a bit of grass border and two gate dies glued together.  I stamped my sentiment on white card stock and cut out a sign for the side of my faux house.  Isn't it fun??

SO here are the items I used today....

(Welcome Sign)

(Window)

(Awning & Window Shades)

(Window Box, Greenery & Blossoms)

and some old favorites including...
(2 part fence)

and the Grass Border Die
from earlier this spring...
(Grass...  and yes, my yard needs to be mowed...  lol)

and the beautiful Blushing Rose Paper Collection...
(the base for it all)

Thanks so much for stopping by to get a bit of creative inspiration!  Hope you have a wonderful week!

Blessings...

Lori
